Under the masterful creative hands of Susan Feller, WVA, wool fabric is dyed to perfection and appropriately marketed as ArtWools. Susan recently dyed a batch of wonderful color mixes for me, and they are identified by adding her name to the mini label in the reverse side of the pin. The number refers to the photo taken of the piece and stored in the computer for copyright reference. Happily, there are over 3,000 flowers being worn around the country!Susan and I discussed the making of "budding soft pink flowers with their fresh green leaves" and the result is so lovely, I might just frame a section of the piece so you can see it at a show sometime soon. The technique, to all the dyeing rug hookers, is called "twist and dip." Photos do not do it justice! Like an oil painting, you have to see it to believe it! Thank you Susan!
